Victim Assistance Program

The City of Lamar has a Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement (VALE) Program that may help you with the repair costs to your vehicle or property if it was vandalized during the commission of a crime. To be eligible, the crime has to have happened within the city limits of Lamar. Applications for the VALE assistance must be made within 90 days of the crime. You may pick up applications and instructions at the Lamar Police Department at 102 E. Parmenter Street Lamar, Colorado.

Domestic Safety Resource Center


The Domestic Safety Resource Center (DSRC) has advocates (also bilingual) on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for crisis response. DSRC offers many services such as one-on-one counseling with victims, group session counseling, assistance with restraining orders and crisis response. Victims of domestic violence and sexual assault often need outside support to help them deal with victimization. You can reach DSRC at 719-336-4357.
