The above full-time benefited job opportunity is available to all eligible City of Lamar employees.  In accordance with Senate Bill 19-085, the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, this announcement serves to satisfy transparency in pay and promotional opportunities.

 

DEADLINE for INTERNAL TRANSFER APPLICATIONS:  Open Until Filled

 

  •  Employees who are interested in the position should make their interest known by completing the internal application.  A job application cover letter and resume are recommended.  The letter should cover the professional reasons for seeking a transfer; your qualifications; and concrete examples of accomplishments.
  •  Internal applicants do not need the permission of their supervisor to apply for open positions. However, your best bet is to talk with them about your plans and why you want the transfer.
  •  In most cases, external recruiting may take place simultaneously to expedite the process as business needs require. Internal candidates may or may not be given preference depending on the circumstances.
